Cracking ceiling around chandelier

3 weeks ago I put up a chandelier in my dining room. There was currently a bar/box already up there. Now just tonight I notice that the opposite way of the ceiling beams there are cracks developing. In the ceiling out a few feet from the chandelier, some are closer. The room above it is unfinished, plywood floors. I will be happy to provide more info. Does anyone have any insight? Is it going to come crashing down? Is it like a couch with just normal wear and tear? Thank you

You needed a fan box not just a bakalite box with the expandable legs.
It will come down if it's not fixed.

Whats a bakalite with expandable legs? Any chance it could be something else? Reason being is I thought there was one up there already? I had actually purchased one but upon install it looked like there was one. I also didn't see amy cracks until today. Please let me know. Thank u

The concern is that you probably have a standard light box in your ceiling, not a fan/chandelier rated box. I would take the chandelier down, leaving it down, and post a picture of what kind of box is in the ceiling.

If it looks something like this it's not going to work.
