Covered Up Vent

Drywall hangers covered up an H/A ceiling vent, 6x9 in, without cutting a bunch of holes, any easy way to find it? I know the aprox area but not exact location??

others in your house? if so they should be set at a standard distance from the walls. Find that distance and start cutting

Covered Up Vent

A simple cheap magnetic nail finder will find out exactly where it is.
There's lots of different styles and makes.

Is there an attic above? If yes, go up and drill four holes with a thin bit at each corner of the vent.

You can also crank the heat and use a laser thermometer to find the hot spot.
