Chattanooga Area Drywall Finishing Pricing

Hello There,

My husband and I just had someone give us an estimate on finishing the already hung drywall in our den. It is a 18 x 25 square room with 4 windows, fireplace, and large doorway. Approx 18 pieces of 4x8 sheets. The pieces are hung very well - tight seams. He quoted us $480.00 just to finish the walls (not the ceiling) (that's including the materials) That price seems very steap. Does anyone know what the approx. going rate is for drywall finishers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know about TN., but that's about the right price around here. The only thing I can say is to get more estimates.
