I'm stumped on applying cement board (durock) to wall framing in a bathroom.
Everything in the framing world revolves around studs being placed on 16" centers (sometimes 24"). That works out fine for 4x8, 4x10 and 4x12 sheets of drywall. Cement board is normally sold in 3x5 sheets. This may not be an issue when you screw it to the floor, but how the heck do you hang it on the walls efficiently?
Is it available through wholesale suppliers in different sizes?
What type of fasteners are acceptable for hanging?
The walls and floor will be tiled when finished.
Thanks, looking forward to everyone's response.
I bought 4'x8' sheets of 1/2" Durock through the drywall supply house that I ordered my rock from. Depot / Lowe's sell screws for concrete board.
