Question

Ceiling repair drywall question

I need to rout a 1/2" wide groove for about 8' in my ceiling to properly wire and position a security camera. There is no access at from above as there is concrete ceiling above the drywall.

How do you recommend I cut the groove? What tool would you use to make the cut? Should I use two straight cuts joining to make a 45 degree angle, or a single long curved cut?

What procedure and materials would you recommend to then repair this long 1/2" wide cut?
