Good luck, one of the may draw backs of any texture surface.
Got some pictures?
More often then not you end up having to redo the whole ceiling to get it to match.
Or just removing it all.

Popcorn is one texture where the rattle cans won't work. It can be repaired but you will need a hopper, gun, and air compressor to do it. If not a big room it's pretty easy to remove, messy but pretty easy.

ceiling repair

Thanks. It is in a hallway that contiues on to many rooms.
Another area is in bathroom but isn't missing popcorn so bad.I guess in bath I can use a split roller an try to cover up the crack it had with a few loose pieces..or last resort remove it all.

With hallway I'm not as lucky..i know it won't match perfectly but do any of those spray on ones really hold up,even if u paint over it all later?

Do you and favor and get rid of all of it.
As a home owner I can not see one advantage of texture.
As a builder it's a cheap fast way to cover up all the mistakes.
