Blister in the tape

I finished finishing my drywall the other day and primed it today. Got all done and noticed that somehow through this whole time i have missed the fact that i have a blister in the tape on one joint in the room. like i said the room is primed. was wondering what the easiest way to fix this is. whether i should cut it out and mud it sand it and re prime it or if there is a different way. thank you

What you described is the best way to repair the blister. Instead of cutting out the blistered portion of the tape, you should be able to make a slit through the paper and then work drywall compound behind the tape. This should make it easier to blend the repair into the original finish. If you have already textured the wall, you should also touch-up the texture. Otherwise the smooth repair patch will be obvious after painting.
