Another Wall Texture Question
I have some drywall repairs, and I need to texture the repair to at least somewhat match the existing wall. I read some threads here, and tried the Orange Peel In A Can, but I can't get it to match.
I think I've attached 2 pictures. The first picture is about the texture I have now. The other picture (with an X through it) is about what I get with the spray can texture set to Fine. Any suggestions? I'd really prefer not to add that second texture to the rest of the wall. |

Another Wall Texture Question
Looks like you have knock down not orange peel.

Another Wall Texture Question
Thank you! How do I duplicate that? I found a knock-down how-to in another thread, but the pattern seems larger.

There are actually three sizes of knockdown and it looks like you have the smallest. I would suggest another can this time of knock down and try it and see if it matches before you go all out. Then if that's not it your only out the price of the can.

Another Wall Texture Question
Thank you Tool Seeker. It never occurred to me that there was a spray-can version of knock down. My local stores only have orange peel. The local Ace is ordering me a can. I am going to try a modified sponge technique that one of the other threads mentioned in the interim. I have 3 more rooms to paint - I'll use the spray eventually, regardless.
