The problem is it is taking a while. Is there a place I can buy one in the US?

What I am looking for is a minimal modern computer desk with built in connectivity like power outlets and cable management. I checked IKEA but I did not see anything like this.

Or maybe someone knows a builder that can build it for me?

Edit: Oh, without the one leg. something more like this:

Can anyone give me some ideas on how to redecorate my large hallway..As it is a bungalow that we live in the hallway is large and wide and leads to all the bedrooms/lounge etc. the front door is unused that leads into the hallway as my backdoor is the closest to my parking area so we all use that door instead. Consequently the front door is never used. The hallway has very little natural light other than borrowed light from all the other rooms..I have an idea for wallpaper but it's the general layout of the room that bothers me, there is no scope for curtains other than a door curtain in the little hallway leading to the front door...The hallway is such a large area of the house so it is more than a passageway, however you wouldn't sit in it..I don't know what to do..any ideas???

Im painting my bedroom two shades of light blue. First the darker color and then sponge over the lighter color. I did this in my bathroom in yellows, using the lighter of the two colors for the trim and door... it turned out great. In my bedroom I want to use an ivory color for the window, base board trim and mirror closet trim. My question is about the door and its trim. If I use the ivory will it stand out more than it should or is a door something that should be accented. Would it look misplaced to paint it with the lighter of the blues while the rest of the trim is ivory. I appreciate any comments.

I found the piece of wood needed, my questions have to do with the rounded parts, especially the one in the middle. I figure Id indent the pice of wood to get the level effect, and then router the top to get the round top effect, but whats the best way to round the middle?

Any information will be apprciated.
Thanks!

We have been in the house two years now and the kitchen has finally gotten to me to the point where it has to be changed!!!! RIGHT NOW! :)

The colors make me feel as though I'm in a giant pumpkin. Not only that, but the cabinets show every finger print and grease smudge and no matter what products i use the area around the handles always appears shiny while the remainder of the cabinet is very mat.

I'd like to have white cabinets and a milder color of wall paint. I also don't know what i can do about the one row of accent tiles but I'm thinking of painting them (either white or the same color as the wall color we select but in a ceramic paint) as I am doing this on a budget. This is not a gally kitchen... there is a matching set of cabinets just off to the left of the picture and a full eat in area behind me to the right. The floors are large hardwood and will be refinished a little darker than in the picture. Perhaps darker cabinets (like chocolate) and lighter walls?

does anyone have a vision that they could share with me to fix this kitchen. What colors would you use on the walls and kitchen to make this room clean and fresh?

I've been looking through various design options for new cabinets for my kitchen (existing is non-existent [ha!]) and have settled on a cabinet design and color scheme for the kitchen but I now have a design dilemma with the toe-kicks in the kitchen. I am a huge fan of the mid-century design as well as a lot of the newer sleeker designs so I am not sure where to go with this and am looking for some exterior perspectives.

The mid-century kitchens ALL have black toe-kicks on their cabinets and it looks great. A lot of newer designs use the cabinet wood stain colors and take that down to the floor. I am not sure on how to address the toe kicks. The attachment shows roughly what I am doing in terms of design & colors. The white thing on the left is a built-in hutch (existing) that I will most likely leave white. Cabinets are all new and will be custom (attachment 2) and probably stained in a similar color as the picture. I haven't decided on the sink yet (drop-in vs. apron sink.) The upper cabinet is still in sketch form and I haven't reworked it to accommodate a microwave yet. dimensions on windows and the like are approximate - once I sign I plan on doing a proper survey.

http://doghouse.coyoteyip.com/?p=387 shows a good example of the baseboards with some original ads at the bottom for reference.

Thanks!

I am looking to buy or maybe a suggestion on how to create a glossy white lacquer contemporary U shaped table and a matching drawer like this:

Where can I find something like this in the US, or how can I create the glossy finish to a DIY project (and which one makes the most sense?).
Thanks.

The trim right now is white. I was wondering if I could replace the trim with wood (pine or other) and look ok? The doors are all white and the casings are white. Would it look good with wood trim?
