We purchased a new sony LCD T.V. we went to plug it in after we hooked up the cable cord and it blow the house breaker. We then put a bigger breaker in and it worked for a while until we hooked up a PS3 with a hd cable to the T.V. it then fried the cable spitter and we ended up with no cable in that box.We then had the cable man down and he fixed the splitter and we got cable back in the cable box he went on to hook up a high definition cable box to the T.V. and it worked great when he went to hook up the ps3 with a high definition cord it fried the spitter again and to the cable back out of the cable box outlet. He was not certain what was causing the problem He had never seen anything like this happen before. He tested the cable wires that were coming off the T.V. and fould there was 110 volts of electicity going threw the HD cable he said that he thinks there is something wrong with the T.V. whne I called the sony company and explained it to them they said that it wasn't posible for elictricity to come from the T.V. threw the hd cable cord and that they would send a T.V. repair man out to look at it.Has anyone ever had a problem like this and how did they solve it.

Hello! Wondered if someone could lay out step by step instructions for draining and cleaning out my gas-fired water heater. Hot water delivery to the bathroom has slowed down over the past two weeks, with no apparent relationship to weather (cold). Thanks.

Hello, I just purchased my first home back in July. It's been a great experience so far! Expensive experience, but great, none the less

I'd like to learn how to do as much of the work on my own home as possible. The only problem that I have is that I am paranoid of doing something major unless I have already done it before or seen it done. So far I have just done small stuff like painting and sealing off doors/windows. I'd love to be able to tackle larger projects like replacing doors/windows. I have a real respect for carpentry in general and would love to be able to learn a bit of it myself.

Don't want to ramble on too much. I'm happy to be here

Hi Folks,

I'm disabled reside in new corner condo development with gas supply for three other units.I have heard a train-wreck squeal outside and called gas Co.When technician arrived- nothing was wrong.

The interior problem was misdiagnosed as H VAC . I discover, It may be Plumbing. Three trips later, I figured try gas Co. Pipes squeal and sing.(Hot Air Gas) I cannot get sleep, for over a month this noise has been ongoing . Living in Ct, I am closer to the Upper N.Y. State border where it gets pretty cold. Plumbing states gas pressure and regulator outside- Gas technician brings a flexible vortex pipe out of his truck and recreates the creepy noise.- Indicates a plumbing problem.

We have had plumbing decide which were the faulty units. The G.C. indicates that this is a gas pressure issue- Today both parties will meet to discuss. In desperation I ask for some solutions?- .:whistling2:, Thank You for your help, loribgh

Attached is a picture of the house. It is a 1954 3bdr 1ba home. I am looking to make the exterior a little more modern. The bathroom and Kitchen also have to be remodeled. Since owning the house I have done some landscaping (not in pictures) as well as a 6ft privacy fence. I have a thread started in Remodeling for discussion of the layout in the kitchen.

Thanks all and let me know what you think.

Hello, my name is Mike and I live in St. Charles, Missouri. My wife and I have been in our c.1985 ranch house for 10 years and have completed several DIY projects. The most recent project we just completed this month was constructing a brand new bathroom in our finished basement. This was completed using a Saniflo system, and it works SO well!! I hope to document some of the more challenging steps here, and hope that it helps someone considering installing a Saniflo system.
