My preferred method, since I mostly lurk all sub topics and scan thread headlines for something of interest is to logon and just click "New Posts" - sometimes, after a few days or especially after the weekend, there can be 13-15 pages. I'll scroll through and open new tabs to read later, then "mark all read" and continue on. Also, my emails from subscribed threads typically prompt a visit or 2 or 3 (depending on how busy I am at work) during the day. Each time I read the new post for that thread and then check the whole site for new posts quickly, and repeat the tab process.

I'm wondering how other people prefer to read?
