I grew up in Portland, Or and got hired on with a framing crew at 19 building primarily apartments and hotels. After about five years with them I moved to the East Bay (Ca.) and continued framing for another four years until the bottom fell out of the housing market and the work dried up.
Back in Oregon I went to work for a friend who was a siding contractor and never really went back to production framing again. Got licensed, started my business and moved to the Coast to spend the next 15 years as a siding contractor. When the economy tanked this last time I went to the Midwest to help a friend on a remodel. I figured I'd be there for about 6 months, that was five yeas ago. Now I think I'm here to stay.
These days I'm working mostly on restoring Victorian Homes (emphases on restoring).
I enjoy fishing, road trips, woodworking and nascar.
