So when should you buy a hole hawg?

After drilling holes for the kitchen sink rough-in, needing to do many more, when should you invest in a hole hawg? Is there any type of advantage of this type of drill over a conventional 1/2" drill?

Always be ready for "PLAN B"

Finished the new kitchen drain today. The original plan was to tie into the main 4" drain. Unfortunately it's nestled in-between the return and supply ducts for the HVAC. So getting in there, cutting an gluing in a tee wasn't going to happen. Instead had to tie into the adjacent 2" drain from bathroom sink. This probably should have been "Plan A" and not "Plan B." With the change of course I had to run back out to the store to get a 2" sanitary tee. So that's my...

While working on my "Project Showcase" post I noticed what looks like a PVC pipe extending into the attic?!?!?! Can PVC pipe even be used on a bathroom exhaust fan?
